Governors

We have a fabulous team of School Governors supporting our school. Some have chosen to provide a small blurb about themselves, and the full list of our Governors is included in the documents at the bottom of this page.

You are welcome to contact the School Office at any time if you need to speak with a School Governor, and we can put you in touch.

Kerrie Harvey – Parent Governor –  Safeguarding

“Hello! I am Kerrie Harvey, a parent governor at Bidbury who joined the board in Jan 21.  I work in financial control/accounting for a Finnish based company and have been keen to offer my assistance to the governing board in order to maintain close home/school links and develop my knowledge in an educational setting.

I have been allocated the role of Safeguarding Governor and am dedicated to ensuring our children have the opportunity to thrive in an environment in which they feel safe, happy and valued.  I find the Bidbury family to be earnest in their efforts and welcoming to all and I look forward to more opportunities to meet and work with the wider community 😊”

Ann Allaway – Co-opted Governor

“As a retired primary school teacher, parent and grandparent, I initially studied geography and environmental issues. I have had a life long interest in all aspects of special needs and took an additional qualification. I’ve taught pupils from two years old to adults, within my own nursery school and in mainstream schools. I qualified as a headteacher but worked as an Assistant Head and SENCO.

I hope that this breadth of experience and knowledge will enable me to contribute to Bidbury Infant school’s commitment to providing an exciting and fulfilling education for the children and support for their parents.”

Arif Mahmud – Parent Governor – SEN and Inclusion

He works closely with the SENCo to ensure the school is inclusive and provide opportunities for all children to feel successful. He is a University Lecturer, and holds a PhD in Education Psychology.
