Bright Young Minds Art Exhibition

The Spring Arts Centre, Havant
Eleven of our children have art work exhibited at The Spring in Havant. This exhibition features work from a selection of local schools who are part of the Warblington Partnership Board, a multi-agency network of schools and community organisations that aims to support children, young people and families in Havant. Please go along and have a look at their wonderful work.

PE kit

Can you please make sure that your child has PE kit in school at all times. They also need plimsolls for the summer term (when we return from Easter holidays) as we have outside PE during the nicer weather. Children should not be wearing earrings on PE days.

Spare clothes

If your child has an incident during the day that requires a change of clothing can you please ensure that you return any borrowed clothes and that they have been washed. With the school budget becoming ever tighter we cannot keep buying new items. We are always very short of pants and socks, which do not seem to get returned.

E-Safety Day – Friday 9th February

The children have taken part in lots of different activities to raise their awareness on keeping safe on the internet. Thank you to those parents who attended the E-Safety sessions at the Junior School on 1st February, the feedback indicated that it was very informative.

Year 1 Maths Parent Participation Day

This event was a great success and enjoyed by both adults and children who took part.

Out and About

Year 1 have been to Staunton to look at seasonal changes.
Year R have been to Stoke Fruit Farm shop to find out about the range of fruit and vegetables. They had a great time talking to the owners about the food in the shop.
Year 2 Reading Game starts on 1 March for 4 weeks.

Sickness and diarrhoea – we ask that children are not in school for 48 hours following their last bout of sickness or diarrhoea to prevent the germs being passed onto others.
Chicken Pox – The official guidance from the Health Protection Agency states that children should be absent from school for five days from when the spots start to appear.

Any medication that your child requires (including any creams etc) must be brought to the school office. Please do not send anything into school in your child’s book bag as this could present a danger to other children.

Please make sure that you phone the school office to report an absence. You do not need to speak to the class teacher, the message will be passed on by the office staff.
